Michael, great show again, but a question...
« on: April 10, 2008, 09:28:32 PM »
I liked the way the different weapons were explained and demonstrated, but I was un sure about one thing...the shotgun modification.  How was the bore changed to make the shotgun shoot a tighter group at a longer range?  It sounded like it was bored completely larger from to just before the muzzle where it choked down.  Is that right?  What would a modification like that cost?

The second question is what is the "fun house" made of?  It looks like concrete block outside, but rifle rounds would go right through as would some pistol rounds.  It can't be solid concrete as the ricochets would kill everyone.  The second part of the question, after we figure out the building materials is how would you properly clear your house if necessary when your life depends on it and there are no police on the way, my rounds would go through the walls and possibly kill a neighbor.

I have to be picky, but the shows are really interesting and the techniques are necessary, just thinking of liability.  Seems like a shotgun would be best even though it would be harder to check and enter some doors.  What do you think?

As far as going to look for the bad guy and not being properly trained for it that could turn out to be a bad thing. Have a safe room, go get the kids and bring them right back, call the police first and stay on the line, use a cell phone. If confronted have the kids behind you and tell them to run away. If your not comfortable going to get the kids change the bedroom hollow doors to solid doors and put bolt lock on them and tell them not to open the doors until they hear your voice, draw the curtains in you safe room or rooms. If you really fell the need to go look for the bump in the night get the proper training. Stay  low, stay safe STAY ALIVE!

He did say"your life depends on it" and "No police on the way"
D Gray, I'm not sure of this, but I THINK the outside is made of block to contaian an inner structure made of sand bags or stacked tires.
