Potpourri for the weekend --- GSSF -- Reloading
« on: March 05, 2012, 05:37:06 AM »
Not a bad weekend.

>Dodged the storms that came through.   We slept with our windows open and didn't even have a lot of rain much less wind.  But only 1/2 mile away there was a tornado that closed a major road for 48 hours.  All damaged confined to a park and the road, no structures damaged or people hurt.

>Shot in two GSSF matches this weekend....scored...... 484 and 498.  Missed that one shot by the width of the line.  Almost tempted to re-shoot that 498 course to try and get a perfect 500.   I'm happy because my goal was to break 490.   I'll save the 500 for next month  ;)

>Got my 1,000 round order of brass from Starline (.357 mag).  It's the first time I've ever bought .357 brass.  But you don't find a lot at the ranges and I didn't have enough to load a whole box of bullets (500) at one time.  My older stuff was starting the split.  So now I'm flush.

>Ordered an EGW chamber checker for .45 and solved my .45 reloading problem.  Also an micrometer for my pistol reloading drum and a speedloader pouch for possible use in IDPA.

>Reconnected with a friend on FaceBook and we are going shooting together Friday, along with his GF to compare various guns.  She's looking at a medium frame revolver and I want to shoot his Sig and compare it to my LCP.

I hope everyone has a great week.
