Conservative rocker Ted Nugent appeared on radio talk show host Mike Broomhead’s show today to discuss everything from Whitney Houston’s untimely death to the Trayvon Martin case. And to no one’s surprise, he didn’t mince words on any of the topics involved. Along with the national media generally, Nugent singled out Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and Piers Morgan as villains in the Trayvon Martin case.

“The only time a black life matters to Al Sharpton is when a black person is killed by maybe – not a Hispanic, but a white Hispanic. Mike, you and I couldn’t make this stuff up,” Nugent thundered in concluding his remaks on the Martin case. His remarks on Whitney Houston‘s friends weren’t much more tame.

“Whitney Houston was surrounded by gazillions of dollars, and a whole bunch of bloodsuckers, and a whole bunch of people taking advantage of her, but they didn’t have the spirit, they didn’t have the wherewithal, to just squeeze that woman and force her to stop,” Nugent opined.

Speaking to The Tom Joyner Morning Show on Wednesday, Jesse Jackson said:

My Sister is a school teacher in Sanford, FL, (yes, that Sanford, Fl)....and has decided to come down here for Easter with her 3 sons, 17, 15, 12. Another kicker in the nads, is she is a NEA union, card carrying member and a BHO supporter.....I love her, she's my little sister, but at least got her to agree, after her divorce, to own a gun for personal home defense....BUT GOD! She is such a Lib.....

My Father and I are in a constant state of WTF when she gets fired up about politics....But all I can do is push her in my swimming pool like I used to when I was 12 years old....

It's a slow process, but converting a Liberal Kool-Aid Drunkard, is a thousand mile journey that begins with the first steps...

I know TW but I live in the liberal heartland and when and if you can actually get them to do their homework, look at the facts, find out what their "savior" has actually accomplished and how little experience he had prior to being elected, eventually you'll see the little light above their head begin to burn brighter and brighter!

Having worked with engineers in your business, have you ever tried to tell them what they should have done?  It's the same thing....you always have to suggest they look at the equation and give them one of those tactful suggestions like.."I understand your POV but how about if you looked at it from this angle instead?"  Don't force the issue but use their ego to let them think it was their idea the whole time!

Tact....."telling someone where to go so well they actually look forward to the trip"!

Thanks to our current public education system a degree doesn't mean what it used to. These days when I meet a new engineer the first thing I ask them is what they do for fun. It is really the only way do judge people anymore, the paper has lost its value.

Young engineers, not necessarily current!  I've been working alongside degree'd folks for thirty years.  Every now and again you find one that isn't so self absorbed that they'll listen!  The younger you remind them to forget most of what they learned in college, the better!

In the marine industry, which I'm a part of,....we have a dilemma,...yacht designers in their 20's.....and electrical engineer's in their 50's and 60's....

I've had more than one elec. engineer tell me "We don't get out much"....as technology makes exponential leaps in load shed, current reduction, balancing,  and efficiency on 3 phase loads...

There is a paradigm shift, same as with dealing with a Liberal sibling.......they draw it cause it looks good on paper, it is no longer a practical modern design,  but that doesn't matter, the way it was always done doesn't work anymore, and they won't change....

I've stumped more engineers on more than one occasion, when "real life" scenarios were introduced...

Somehow they missed that in the faculty lounge...

Considering the marine industry as a whole and the limitations on what you can shoehorn into a boat hull, it's not surprising that you've run into issues with your "design experts"!  "Oh!  Yea!  We gotta get power to all this shit don't we?".....

It's why my big brother, after spending six years aboard a submarine before he went to college, has surpassed all of his peers at Electric Boat!  He's now a BSEE after 8 or 10 years in school part time...

Every engineer should be required to commit to a five or six year program that includes some type of "real world" internship!

Try working in aviation, specifically defense contracting!

I'm surrounded by software/electrical/mechanical engineers that haven't ever touched a plane, trying to design equipment tha some poor soul has to take to war.

Grumman Bethpage had to send field trips to our hangar so the guys building E-2D could actually SEE what an E-2C looked like to work in.  The software guys are bad about putting a control you use for everything a couple layers deep in the menu instead of a hot key.
