Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn says he's "disappointed" that Florida Gov. Rick Scott has rejected his city's request to ban concealed weapons outside the Republican National Convention.

Scott, a Republican, declined t0 prohibit the carrying of guns in downtown Tampa, where thousands will gather in late August to formally tap Mitt Romney as the GOP nominee.

"An absolute ban on possession in entire neighborhoods and regions would surely violate the 2nd Amendment," Scott wrote to Buckhorn.

So they don't want armed citizens around when the rent-a-mobs try to disrupt the convention?  That mayor's a democrat, right?  He's probably just following orders.
