Kahr CM9....
« on: July 10, 2012, 08:03:32 AM »
I see we have an 'ad.' for them on the site, at least on my computer. I bought one last week-end and it hasn't missed a beat yet (only 100 rounds so far), very nice little pistol - immediately kidnapped by the missus, leaving the PPS in her tracks!

The onlly potential problem I see is that the magazine floorplate seems a little insecure, anyone have a quick fix for that?

Allow me to re-phrase.........the bottom seems to be in a constant state of indecision 'should I grip, or allow slippage', the little central nipple isn't protruding sufficiently to defend against accidental dumping and the subsequent embarrassment. Dr. Ruth?

I've never owned a Kahr, but I did have a similar problem with a magazine I had reassembled incorrectly.

I installed the mag spring backwards and it did not put enough pressure on the internal base plate to solidly hold the pin in the hole due to the wrong angle of the spring.  I noticed that before I noticed it didn't do such a good job of alining the follower either.

 :D :D :D

I found it right away when the floor plate didn't seem to seat firmly...

I had to look at another of the same mag I had that I  hadn't fouled to make sure it all was right....and now try to note the orientation of the parts.
