FBI agent convicted of straw sales
« on: August 16, 2012, 12:43:06 PM »
I actually found out about it again on AR15.com, but doing a google search I found this news article on it:

http://www.elpasotimes.com/news/ci_20736695/ex-fbi-agents-appeal-at-risk

http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/1286305_US_v__Shipley__FBI_Agent_case____p3_New_Documents_Show_more_gunwalking.html

sounds to me like somebody deliberately destroyed evidence in the form of compact discs/DVD's .  I guess the CD's contained some testimony by the agent.

From what I can piece together, he was selling guns on gunbroker.  When somebody won the bid, then he would order the gun using his LE discount, and pocket whatever the difference was....like a profit.

He had like 2,800 rounds of .50 BMG.  cha ching$$$!!!   :o

I am wondering if this is somehow tied to Fast and Furious  ???
