Airweight is a great little gun but have her try the Ruger LCR as well.  Out of the box, you can't beat the trigger on the Ruger!

I like the Ruger better myself.  Thought it was a better gun overall.  She wants the pink grips, and I know the Houge's will fit the S&W, not sure about the Ruger.  Don't know why i said they were Pachmayr's earlier.  I will research springs and stoning options on the S&W to make the trigger and function better/smoother

Take a look at the Browning BDA in .380.  It is a double stack but being a .380 it's a bit less bulky than a 9MM.  I've had one since '88 or so and it's a fine little gun that is reliable and safe....carries 13 rounds I think.

Or...she may like the Berretta Cheetah in 380.  http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=308172556
