Merry Christmas to my DRTV family
« on: December 24, 2012, 10:58:27 PM »
Sitting here with the family watching A Christmas Story.  Ralphie just came down the steps in the bunny outfit.

I would like to wish everyone on Down Range a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

On a personal note, I start training for a new part-time job January 14.  I'll be selling cell phones at AT&T.  Still can't believe they're flying me to Minnesota for 3 of the 4 weeks of training.  Training finishes Feb. 8 and I start school Feb. 11.  I'll be going to trade school to learn machining (mostly CNC).  It's a 15 month course, so at its completion I'll be 50 years old and starting over yet again.  Gotta love the "new economy."  It's scary and exciting at the same time.

I hope you all get what you want for Christmas.

Brian

Merry Christmas, Brian.  Best of luck in the New Year.  Bunny and I hope it turns out better for all of us.

Yep, Merry Christmas to all.

Merry Christmas.

Congratulations on the two new careers.  My older son did a stint as the AT&T store between careers.  While not his favorite job, he did well because he was blunt, but polite with the customers. He did a lot of repeat business because customers liked his no-sugar-coating approach. Not everyone can pull that off though.

Then coincidently #2 son does training films for  AT&T stores. His last one you won't see was the Christmas merchandising training.  Maybe while you're in class you could ask to see it.  He was singing a modified version of The Night Before Christmas.

And congrats on the machining school.  When you graduate, maybe you could work for the CNC manufacturers as a tech sales or trainer.  That's an option instead of as a user/op.
