Friday afternoon, as Senators were leaving town, Harry Reid filed Cloture on a 1,190-page amendment that completely changes the substance of the Gang of Eight immigration bill.

Your Senators will be voting on the bill Monday afternoon without having time to read it.

They need to hear from you that they must reject this amendment! Call and tell them to vote NO on the Schumer-Corker-Hoeven fig leaf amendment.

Senators know that the Schumer-Rubio amnesty bill is an Obamacare-style train wreck, but some still want to vote for it to pay off political allies.  These Senators are hoping their constituents will not find out what is and is not in this bill.

We must stop them!

Senators Bob Corker of Tennessee and John Hoeven of North Dakota worked out an amendment (making back room deals behind the scenes to secure votes) that will be used as a fig leaf for squishy Republicans and red state Democrats who want to vote for bill while appearing to be serious about border security.  The bill will retains the “Amnesty First, Border Security . . . Maybe Later” framework of the Schumer-Rubio bill.

Regardless of how strong proponents want to make the amendment sound, it is still weaker than current law!  The amendment contains many dreadful changes, like giving permanent amnesty to visa overstayers and adding $38 billion to the bill’s price tag.  For a more complete list of changes to the bill and political payoffs to specific Senators, Click here (PDF).

You know, any Bill that includes the word Schumer in the title needs to have a stake driven through its heart. And Rubio? Welcome to the GOP in my fair state. Him and Scott (who killed an anti-illegal alien bill) are both whores to the Chamber of Commerce. They simply ignore the wishes of most legal residents of this state for money and the vain hope that these amnesty folks will vote GOP in the future. News flash boys, they're voting now, and they're voting for the Dems. You are not just selling me out, but selling me out to pay for a sucker's bet.

rojawe - Glad to see I'm not the only one taking action about NO AMNESTY! This is about the 5th time our self proclaimed leaders while sitting on their pedestals in the District of Corruption are trying to pass amnesty by calling it everything but. it is still amnesty no matter how they color it. Most people pay no attention to what is going on and that's what the District of Corruption wants. We have a government that is more interested in it’s own preservation than the preservation of our liberties and laws. The Democrats and Republicans are far more interested in preserving their duopoly of power over the people than they are our Constitution, Bill of Rights, our laws or what is moral and just.

Here's the deal.
Those mo*herfu*kers in Washington don't care what you think .
The fact that you will vote against them is no threat since they have  10 - 20 million instant Dems they can count on.
I hear people saying "God help us" .
Down in La. they were predicting a flood so a guy with a 4X4 went out to this old lady's cabin, he said, "I'm here to take you to a safer place ."
She said, "Thank you, but I'll stay, The Lord will provide."
The water started rising and a fellow came along in a boat, he said "I'm here to take you to safety."
She said "Thank you, but, no, the Lord will provide."
Pretty soon the only dry place was on the roof, while she was sitting up there a helicopter came along to lift her out, but again she assured the crew "the Lord would provide".
The flood collapsed her cabin and the old lady drowned.
At the Pearly gates she was bedraggled and some irate, "God", she said, "Why didn't you save me !"
God replied, "For crying out loud you silly hen, I sent a truck, a boat, and a helicopter, you have to do SOMETHING for yourself ."
As long as we still have some shred of our 2nd Amendment rights we are that old lady.
The fault is not with Washington, it is with the , oh look, "Dancing with the Stars" is on.
