I too thought it sounded 'canned' until I checked his history.  If you look at crebrafix's other post you will see that this is just a well written and very informative account of a course he enjoyed. 

I've met crebralfix and trained with him once.  He's a good guy, great writer and a great holster designer.  I do not think this is an ad on his part.

Nope...I spent around $3k total, but only because I had to buy a ton of camping gear...and a new gun....
