Thanks for the advice, but the situation has resolved itself.  I elected to tell her about the check.  Then she elected to present me with a gift certificate from the gun store (she has no purchase permit so she couldn't buy it herself) in the amount of the M&P, and told me that it was my gift for our 25th Wedding Anniversary next week.  I have a feeling I'll be spending the bonus check at the jewelry store!!  Not sure where she got the money, but who cares?!?  What a woman!!!    :D

You are a lucky man !

Yes I am, and every day I say a little prayer of thanksgiving that God allowed me to marry so far out of my league!!
I love waking up every morning knowing that Donald Trump is President!!

Awesome turn of events! Enjoy the new M+P ( you will ), and take good care of the wife. The right woman can come out of nowhere and have us guys figured out all along. Sounds like you got the one!

Those are the ones to cherish!

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.
