CBS news covers SASS

CBS news with Katie Couric had a surprisingly positive story about SASS shooters the other day. If you didn't catch it here is the link to the video.

From my jaded perspective, their network bottom line was: "Well they ARE kooky, but probably harmless. We're done here."
I, personally, loved it and found my one experience as a spectator at a SASS match in Creedmore, NC, very Freedom affirming.

That is as good as your going to get from that group ... especially when you consider that Katie is a gun hater.

If you consider how smug and uppity they get with anyone that is different than them, this was a great piece.

While it would have been good to see and show off some of the top dogs, it was great to see real people having fun at their own levels.

Looks like the good life, I may have to get my boots out of the closet.

Like the cooking and holster segment, Practice is always a good thing 8)
Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

To bad the reporter didn't give it a shot, he may have put aside some of his prejudices

You are right Dakotaranger, but that's not why he was there. Hartman does do a good job on feel good stuff.
