Get active locally.  Nathan isn't my state senator here in Oklahoma, but I met him at a rally I organized during the last gubernatorial election.  I must say I was taken aback that grass roots got him elected and I'm happy to say I've spoken with him, supported him and have shaken his hand. 

When Piers Morgan found out about Nathan's bill (named the Piers Morgan Constitutional Right to Keep and Bear Arms Without Infringement Act) Piers tweeted "unbelievable" followed by an invitation to be come on his show to debate the act: "Hi Senator @NathanDahm - come on my show and debate your new 'Piers Morgan Act'. If you have the guts."  Piers got more than he bargained for.

Piers repeatedly cut him off, which is to be expected, but got his hat handed to him as Nathan explained to Piers that he did not understand what RIGHTS are.  Piers tried to ridicule him and found out Nathan really could recite the 2nd Amendment.  Piers found out that Oklahoma has by statute and decree defined the militia so that argument went nowhere and frustrated poor, poor Piers.

Take a listen to his CNN interview with Piers Morgan...Nathan employed a "liberal trick" fighting fire with fire, told everyone he pulled a liberal stunt and then put forth his Senate Bill with Piers name on it to enhance our gun rights in Oklahoma...Piers was mad about that and said it was a cheap trick boo, hoo, hoo.  In your face Piers and Piers supporters.  Nathan is a straight shooter and an example of what we need to do for grass roots to really make a difference in our nation.  We have to be patient while at the same time being diligent and energetic working to fix this mess we call politics.

I just finished watching it.

The Senator did a great job!  He kept his cool; controlled the conversation; laid argumentative traps for Morgan; and didn't fall into any himself.  He also ended on a very strong point.

In the manner of swaying "those on the fence", he knocked it out of the park.
In making Morgan look stupid in the eyes of gun owners, All too easy.
In making Morgan looks stupid to the eyes of gun haters, not so much.

In making Morgan lose his cool and devolving into a ranting lunatic, cry-baby.  Unfortunately no.

Definitely a win, but as big as I'd like.

At what point does somebody, and I include Ted Nugent, stand up to Piers Morgan, and remind him that he is an English citizen.  If he does not like our nation or our Constitution he is more than OBLIGATED to get out of here.

I don't give a flying F..... what Piers Morgan thinks, wants, or demands!  This is our nation, and Our forefathers kicked your ancestors' A$$es to have it the way WE want it.  By the way, we didn't just do it once, but we did it again when you came back for round two.

He WANTS someone to do that.  That is his personal wet dream!

If anyone gave him this gift of doing what you said, he's hold that up all over the place and show how intolerant gun owners are.  How small minded we are to other viewpoint.  How scared we are of any "intellectual" confrontation. ect-ect.

We all know the stereotypes they want to use. Do you want to give them more ammunition?

Yelling at the guy and telling him to get the F out may make you feel better and get a few "Atta boys!" but will do more lasting harm than good.

We need to make them the screeching idiots on TV.

We need to follow in Senator Dahm's example.

Ulmus,

I'm not talking just Second Amendment.  This clown hates several items in our Constitution and our way of life. 

I really don't care whether he is happy or not, because when he, as an outsider, commits his career to undermining the foundations of our Republic he is at the top of my "Must Be Defeated" list.
