I have a 24/7 in 9MM, and I am satisfied with the accuracy and the grip. To me, the way the grip feels in your hand affects how well the accuracy is going to be.
How is the trigger pull? I was looking at a Millenium? I was looking at one as a cheaper 9MM to play with but I was told the trigger pull is very long and pretty heavy trigger pull.
Buy the little gun, take it to the range, stand 10 feet from the target and blast away...If you hit anything, it's a good carry piece. There's nothing worse than trying to explain to the cops why you were firing at someone who was 20 yards away
Y'know...when I'm out at the range wondering why I can't take out Osama's right eye on my 8X11 printout target at 25 yds....trigger pull matters. But I always go back to a story my father told me. (No, he was NOT a great guy, but he did teach me a few things). He was once attacked by a giant person of a particular persuasion and he feared for his life. He rendered the perp helpless with his umbrella. ( I don't even own one). The lesson was that when there are five seconds for you to survive or go down, trigger pull doesn't mean shit. (Sorry Marshall'ette- it was the only word that fit.)I live in a state where I can't carry, but if I did I would have something like what I keep at home....I like .45 and it doesn't much matter how you deliver it. If you have a Pez dispenser with a trigger that will launch a .45 ACP that's all you need. The perp will be 3-6 feet away(or less) and trigger pull is the LEAST of your worries. You'll let 6 rounds go in a hearbeat, and at that range it's all gross motor skills anyway.Buy the little gun, take it to the range, stand 10 feet from the target and blast away...If you hit anything, it's a good carry piece. There's nothing worse than trying to explain to the cops why you were firing at someone who was 20 yards away.
Very good point. On a standard trip to the range I will fire one, if any, magazine at 25 yards to stroke my ego a bit then I pull the target in so it is 5 to 7 yards away and shoot till my hand can't take it anymore. It's funny how we don't practice what we preach, or in this case I should say preach what I practice until someone else points it out. Thanks!!!!!! Although it is fun to shoot those Osama targets. My range stopped carrying them because it isn't "politically correct". Was 09/11/2001 a politically correct day?
You can still download a nice free picture target of the jerk on the web...I think it's targetz.com or something like that. If you can't find it I can email you a pdf.Hey there's an idea....maybe an area where we could all exchange the oddball targets (observing all copyright laws, of course).
Got it. THANKS!!!!!!!! I agree about a target swap forum. We have a lot of members here who probably have a lot of good targets.
