Beretta pistols
« on: February 16, 2009, 05:20:18 AM »
I have a collection of Beretta pistols. I am awed that I have not seen any, in of the shows on the Outdoor Channel. I have a Beretta 8045 Cougar as my carry pistol, are there any ill reports on these? Is there any truth to the story about the rotating barrel reducing the upward recoil of the pistol? Thus allowing the barrel to remain in the same axis as your target? Maybe the show could put a Cougar in a pistol firing rest and measure the upward movement and compare a 1911 style pistol that has the barrel canter upward when the slide is back and ready to drive another bullet into the chamber. I also like the weight of the 8045 and its smaller size as opposed to the 92 model. Thanks WAFFENALASKAN

If you are interested in the Beretta pistols and the company in general go to the History Channel website, and look to see if any of their "Tales of the Gun" series DVD's are still available. They had an hour long program about the Beretta company, it's history, and some of their products.
