Cartridge belt questions

Once we switched to non-magazine fed guns, how to carry ammunition became an issue.  I have two Bianchi cartridge belts, one for .38/.357 and one for .22.
1- Both belts turn the brass cases green.  Can anything be done to stop this?
2- Both belts had a leather strip to hold the cartridges in place, except I can't get them out past the strip.  I removed the strip on the .38/.357 belt, and now some of the cartridges fall out when I lay the belt down.  Again, any suggestions?
3- My wife has a Bianchi Ranger (nylon) cartridge belt that works great, but I don't see it listed in their catalog.  It's a heavy padded nylon, not just a simple web belt.
I have a nylon "pouch" that carries ten .38/.357's in loops, and I could probably get by with some of those, but carrying .22's has always been a problem.

First, remove the ammo from the leather belt if able.  Chemicals used in tanning act upon the cases to cause the green stuff (can't spell the proper name for it!!!!!).  You should be able to clean the cases with Brasso without hurting the ammo.  Once clean shoot it in practice and get new ammo.  If you still choose to carry your ammo in the leather belt loops, remove it when you get home.  You might be able to find a nylon cartridge belt at one of your local toy stores (gun shop) or maybe a pouch to hang on the belt for the .22's.

I've been told that Brasso will indeed damage the powder.  I'd toss the ammo and get new stuff into a nylon rig, speed-loaders or speed strip.

Brasso used in quantity might harm powder if it gets into the case but a small amount on a cloth  and a thorough wipedown after shouldn't do any harm.

I've had good luck carrying the "silver-plated" cartridges in leather.

I carried .357 cartridges in a leather belt slide and a leather dump box for a year in the heat and humidity of Vietnam. The cartridges were the nickel plated ones that we all used then. No problem with them, but I had to brasso the snaps and buckle which were brass on a very regular basis because they would turn green in no time.
