Police in London are on the lookout for £200 frozen-gas knives designed to kill bears and sharks, according to the Daily Mail.

The manufacturer describes [the Wasp Knife] as perfect for downed pilots, soldiers and security guards and boasts that it will "drop many of the world's largest land predators".
It can snap-freeze all tissue and organs in the area surrounding the blast.

A source close to West Midlands Police said: "The Met is obviously concerned about this and that is why they have circulated the information.

"This knife will almost certainly kill and the Met must have intelligence that they are in circulation.

"I think it is only a matter of time before one of these is used because the internet makes it much easier to find and buy weapons like this."

My son told me about these yesterday. Not only do they stab, but inject 24g of CO2 through a small hole just behind the tip. I would think that much gas injected in your bowels would kill you alone, let alone freezing your innards.

Developed as I understand it for divers to use against sharks. And unsuspecting tourists in London, the most crime-ridden city in the industrialized world. No guns though. Good work guys, no self defense allowed either.

No knives either. Carrying a pocket knife in Britain is a ticket to jail. (but wait, since it is illegal to carry knives, what are they worried about    )

Because all of the bad gun control (and now knife control) ideas seem to be coming from England, it makes more sense than ever to join Knife Rights.

Well if the people didn't know these knives existed, like me, now they do. I feel sorry for the subjects in England I think it will take a civil war at this point to regain control of their government. But of course they make it kind of hard when you can't even pick up a stick to defend yourself.

OXFORD, England, July 25 (UPI) -- A British judge sparked shock and outrage after he brandished a knife during the trial of a 16-year-old accused of wounding with a blade.

Judge Roger Connor of Oxford Crown Court said the knife he pulled from his pocket during the trial was acceptable to carry in public under English and Welsh law because it was less than 3 inches long, The Sun reported Friday.

Connor took out the knife after the teenage defendant said he has used a folding knife and needed only one hand to open it.

"It happens I have a folding knife in my pocket," the judge said before showing the knife to the court. "You need two hands to open it, don't you?"

The demonstration sparked outrage among anti-knife crime activists.

"He should lose his job," Lyn Costello, co-founder of the Mothers Against Murder and Aggression campaign. "One teenager a week is being murdered on the streets of Britain and here he is brandishing a knife."

"Enough is enough -- we need to get tough on knives in this country and our judges should be handing out tough sentences, not brandishing their own," she said.
