Denver question
« on: August 10, 2008, 01:49:55 PM »
I have to go to Denver for some meetings in next week.

Any suggestions on a nice place for a business dinner?

Has anyone seen the Recreate 68 posters there? I want to steal, oops, liberate one for friend in Iraq.

Thanks,

Ratcatcher

Don't know how many in your party, what kind of food your looking for or how much you can spend. Get on www.zagat.com and sign up for like 5 bucks one shot. I have always been happy with the top rated places in zagat.

Hmmmmmm, my post on this thread disappeared. Here goes again.

There is a place, about the 500 block on 16th St. Mall, as you walk from the 200 block it is on the opposite right corner. The street level walls open up, very classy, but I haven't been ther in 18 months so I can't remember the name.

Also, and this is very important Grasshopper, stay the hell out of LoDo after dark (Mall area in the 1200-1600 area of 16th St. Mall), and get the hell out of the rest after dark. It is not safe, Denver is run by the Mexican gangs these days at night. Or so I'm told.

Brooks...  It's a high end steakhouse.  Haven't eaten there in a while, but I had the best bone-in ribeye i've ever had there.
