Actually, you can get TOC ala carte, you will probably have to argue with them, the lead person I talked to said it was impossible, I had to becomes something of an a$$hole and make him regret getting up that morning, he finally relented and passed me on to someone else, after maybe 10 minutes of arguing.

At that point, I got TOC added ala carte. I think it is $2.99 extra per month.

On a separate note, the shows that left TOC (Intermedia's PDTV, G&A, etc.) found a home. From Friday's Shooting wire at

http://www.shootingwire.com/shooting_wire_release.html?releaseID=134059

comes this (BTW, Pursuit TV comes with DirectTV's Basic package on channel 611):

InterMedia Brings Nine Shows To Pursuit Channel

Luverne, Alabama -- Pursuit Channel announces that it has inked a multi-year deal with InterMedia Outdoors to bring nine of its award-winning shows to the network starting in the 4th quarter of 2008.

With this new multi-year deal, Pursuit will further market and promote the network and its producers throughout a library of InterMedia Outdoors publications, including titles such as Guns & Ammo, In-Fisherman, Bowhunter, North American Whitetail and many more.

"InterMedia produces some of the finest programming in outdoor television today" stated CEO Rusty Faulk. "We are honored to be working with them and providing our viewers with such solid shows."

Intermedia will bring its popular line of shows including North American Whitetail, In-Fisherman, Bowhunter Magazine TV, Guns & Ammo, Pertersen's Hunting Adventure TV, Personal Defense TV, Tactical Impact, Arrow Afflictions and other new shows to the Pursuit network.

Personal Defense TV, Tactical Impact, and Arrow Afflictions will start airing in the 4th quarter of 2008. The other programs will begin in 2009.

"We weighed all of our options, and feel strongly that the Pursuit Channel is our best choice for the satellite distribution portion of our programming solution," stated Mike Carney, VP and Group Publisher of InterMedia Outdoors. My local CC (Time Warner) decided to re-align channels so that they are grouped by subject...really screwed things up.  I think they call it progress.  One day I find that OC is now excluded from the package I am paying for and that I will have to pay extra for OC and a few other extra channels.  As much as I hated to I called twice and said I was not paying extra - I was paying too much already and cancelled OC.  Several days later someone from the CC called to ask me a few questions.  I told her exactly what I thought, which was " Charge me extra and site inflation or whatever but do not use re-alignment for the convience of customers as a reason and then charge more (without telling me until the bill comes)for what I am already getting."  Then I apologized for taking out my frustration on her.  Well, they still haven't turned off OC and they are not charging me for it so I will be able to get SG and BD until they discover their error.  On top of all this she tells me that the package I am paying for is no longer available but if I was a new customer I could get a better package for $10+ LESS but only if I was a new customer - Boy does that suck! but I could get a slightly better package for just a bit more than I am paying now.  I kept my temper and thanked her and repeated my refusal to pay any more than I am paying.  My wife does not want to change providers so I'm stuck.  Sure hope nobody finds out that I'm getting OC without paying for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wish me luck,

Richard
