Here is a link to someone who was filming a disturbance and the people being filmed turned hostile. The cameraman was armed and used his voice and his possession of a gun to protect himself, with no shots fired or anyone harmed. He also recorded his interaction with the police afterwards.
How did he do? What could he have done better? The language is NSFW but IMHO his language helped show how serious he was and may have helped convey how determined he was about protecting himself and that he expected them to stay away or there would be consequences.

I really enjoy The Best Defense because scenarios are based on real world situations and they show different outcomes, I try to apply the skills I learn from the show in different scenarios such as this one. Based on what I have learned I think I would have not provoked an emotionally charged situation by filming it and "stood my ground" even thought I had a right to do so. Calling the police and being a witness for them would have been my chosen route and only drawn my weapon if they came after me and left me no choice.
