Wish they had a "traditional" Pentathalon today. Not with a 4.5 mm "pellet", at 10m , but a real "bang" pistol/rifle. At least the winter games still use a .22.

A true athlete, in the original spirit of the games, didn't specialize in just one sport. The best of the best of the best.

Ah, but badminton,..... it's all whoop ass! ??? ::) :o ;D

P.S. A Hungarian weightlifter had his right arm fold backwards like a Hooters chicken wing this week.

Don't watch if your squeamish.

The Olympics used to be much harsher than today. But we are a more refined world today,... Sigh...
Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

I have always feared that muscles can be stronger than the bones they are connected to.
