Lowe's and Wounded Vets
« on: December 09, 2015, 04:26:17 PM »
We were passing through Moultrie, GA (a neighboring town 20 miles away) a few evenings ago and the wife wanted to stop in at their Lowe's to look for something or other (I just got three new 200 lumen flashlights from there, so I was good  ;D ). I dropped her at the door and swung around to park when I noticed the sign below.....so I drove around and saw that they had six parking spots, outlined in purple, with the accompanying sign.

It must be on an individual store basis, because the one ten miles away from my house in Tifton does not have these.
"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

In GA you can get "Veteren" on your Driver's license.   HD I think also give a discount but only on 11/11.
Will work for ammo

WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?   You drive to the candy store and don't bother to go in?  You don't need a fourth flashlight?   Or SOMETHING?

Go sit in the corner for a bit and think about that.

Homer only offers a discount to active duty personnel, or retired, and disabled vets.  The discount doesn't extend to the majority of vets.

Lowe's gives a 10% discount to any vet with ID.

While in the corner, stay away from the kegerator and the stripper pole!

Yes, PLEASE stay away from the stripper pole, TAB's already had to restraighten it.

I just bought a Char Broil oil-less fryer for Thanksgiving.....and several bit-driver sets (on sale, of course....you know, because I NEEDED them, just in case)...and LED bulbs (gotta have those for electricity savings)...... two flashlights for myself and an extra for her (to use when she goes hunting).

I could open my own used flashlight store.  ;D

You can never have too many....and they are getting brighter...and more economical...but that is another thread.

Stripper poles are the reason I quit drinking fifteen years ago....... now, when I hear the term 'stripper' I think wood refinishing.....  :o
