Called Taurus, the 800 series semis will be coming out at the end of the this year, but I would wait a year to buy one, make sure all the bugs are gone at their expense not yours.

I've been looking at the ads and they look a little like an SR9....all the more reason to wait awhile.

Look again Jaybeth, they aren't striker fired.
THe ads I've seen are dark background with blue lettering(really small too!) and so I'm mostly looking at pictures...it looks like SR9 to me and boy am I gun-shy (pardon the pun) after my SR9. I haven't seen a real closeup or description yet.
I hear so much mixed review on Taurus but the fact is, they seem to be one of the most innovative pistol makers out there right now. As long as everything innovation doesn't turn to crap like another gun co. I can think of .

I'm not big on striker fire yet, so maybe I'll keep lookin' at that little baby Taurus in spite of ALL the voices in my head screaming "Don't Do It!!!"

I picked up a new Taurus .22 a while back (several months).  Forget the model number, it's a stainless 9 shot revolver with a 5 inch barrel.

Had problems at first with the cylinder not rotating.  I could have sent it back but instead had a gun smith buddy rework it and polish up the trigger.  Shoots like a house on fire now.  Pretty darn accurate, too.
All tipoes and misspelings are copi-righted.  Pleeze do not reuse without ritten persimmons  :D

I can't wait to get the money to get my paws on the pt-845. Maybe a Christmas present to me kinda thing. As far as being new I have only had a couple of small issues that Taurus made right very quickly. I have 4 Taurus's.
