One fine lookin' lead-slinger you got there.     ;)

How does it shoot?

"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

"When it comes to the enemy, just because they ain't pullin' a trigger, doesn't mean they ain't totin' ammo for those that are."~PegLeg

I will have to find out since I picked up a Smith and Wesson M&P 9mm Compact for my wife the other day. We have yet to arrange time to blow off some rounds. I will get back with you once we get time to send rounds down range.

I like .45 autos but most are pretty big,

I carry a Rock Island Armory (RIA) .45 in a compact size, roughly equivilent to a Colt Officer size.  It's a 3.5 inch barrel in a sturdy all steel 1911A1 package. and for a budget of up to 800.00, you can but two of them!.  One in 5" full size, and one compact size  ;D

I carry the full size and love it. More importantly, I TRUST it.

Fired the Smith and Wesson M&P 9mm Compact today with my wife. It was one of my best experiences on the range with a handgun right out of the box.  Fired 30 rounds and all were in the X or 9 ring. Excellent to me for a compact.
