New to me Colt 1903

Last week I was perusing a local retailer and stumbled across a type III Colt 1903 that the store had just put out on display. Since I had been looking for one for about a year now, I quicly inspected it and bought it on the spot. It has some minor blemishes on the outside but was excellent on the inside for a 90 year old pistol. I took it out and shot it the next day and was really very impressed with it. Flawless after fifty rounds and quite accurate for a pocket pistol.

Would like some comments from anyone who owns one on what ammo you use and any experiences you want to share about this beautiful little piece of history.

I used to have one in .32 acp, I actually carried it a bit in the summer. They are thin well rounded carry guns, but they are a bit underpowered even in .380 for their size. I never had a problem with it, the weight and small caliber make for light recoil and it still looks good. Good score if you got it at a reasonable price.

Thanks for the input deval. I paid 342 after tax. I traded in a Tomcat with CTG grips which I bought from Cabela's for 300. i broke the cat twice in the only two times I shot it so they gladlly traded. So I ended up just giving them a few more bucks and getting a historical pistol. i have been researching these but gave up on the idea and purchased the used Tomcat with CT Grips. I have 4 Beretta's and love their product, but this particular one was not so good. I would have sent it back for repairs or a new one but this little beauty came into my life so I let the Tomcat go.
