I finally got out to the range to shoot the new P250. A ran about a hundred rounds through the gun. My first impressions were the following:
The trigger pull is definitely usable for a service handgun. The recoil was completely manageable the grip, which was the medium one, seemed a little big for my hand and caused me to do some re-gripping. The gun seem to shoot a little to the right, one of the points that I've heard mentioned is the rear sight is a unique design and is not adjustable. The front side has a traditional dovetail cut into the slide, which appears to allow for some adjustment. After two of my friends shot the pistol they also agreed that the gun shot to the right. So we felt it was time to adjust the front sight. We proceeded to remove the slide and put it into the sight pusher. With first bit of pressure the front side broke off flush with the slide. That ended the shooting test. We called Sig they sent a UPS label and the slide is back at Sig being repaired for free.
On the whole all three shooters liked the gun found it easy to shoot and the trigger pull completely manageable. There were no malfunctions of any kind, unless you count the whole front sight thing. In anticipation of getting my slide back soon I found a small compact grip frame that I plan on installing. I believe this will stop the re gripping I was experiencing. This gun inspired complete confidence, and I will be rotating it into my carry rotation.
