I'm right there with you on the outrage. Tax dollars should not go to pay illegals. These are good solid jobs that I'm paying for. I'm doing it without complaint too, because giving people a paycheck (which they'll spend) to do useful work strikes me as a commonsense way to do a stimulus program. My problem is you thinking that its the Dems that are coddling the illegals whereas the GOP is doing their best to stem the tide. Remember your last president? How about the guy you nominated in 2008? Or take my beloved Senator Mel Martinez (please!)? All were pro-amnesty, none wanted something so basic as a mandatory proof of residency for anyone arrested and jailed. None did anything about, or spoke against "sanctuary cities". Both parties are hip deep in this, the Dems to the bleeding hearts and the GOP to the chamber of commerce and both of them trying to swing the latino vote. If you think that this is a partisan issue you might as well paint sucker on your forehead and by some condoms (the ribbed kind) to go with that KY. Yeah, Bush and the GOP came up with the border fence...they just never got around to paying for or building it. (The parts they did build used steel made in China). The GOP may talk a little tougher, but when it comes to putting their money where their mouth is, in three preidential elections we've seen the top ofyour ticket is all mouth. Arizona and Texas, hmmm migh there be reason for this? You've got to look at immigration the same way you look at 2A, choose the candidate not the party.
