S&W Model 60 .357 Mag...Talk me out of it.....

I have a 686 classic and a 629 classic, I only shoot factory loads and I primarily shoot 357 and 44 mag out of them and I have never had any issues with the internal lock. I never use the lock, so I don't know if that matters having never ingaged it before or not, or the fact that I only use factory made ammo throught them.

While I don't have any S & W with the internal lock, I do have several Taurus with a similiar system, and have not had any problems with it. I did play with it when I first purchased them, I haven't used the lock since then, but they have never failed to go bang, except for ammunition issues.

Many people may have legitimate reasons for not liking them, but for the people, that for whatever reason, want/need them, what do they hurt?

i agree dont bother with s&w wheel guns with locks... i like s&w wheel and semi's howerver... save your self time and trouble.. spend 50 dollars more and grab a glock sub compact in 9 or .40
