JC,

My post is a reply to FQ13 and only applies in Florida.

I wish it was that CCW holders could carry on school grounds but no go here.  :(

Sorry if I came across as being argumentative. Not my intention.  :(  As far as public schools go, you can't carry, but at the community
college and the University here, that is/was the policy. At least as of last year. Of course I am in Wyoming, and we have a pop density of about 5 people per square mile.
I am a member of my nation's chosen soldiery.
God grant that I may not be found wanting,
that I will not fail this sacred trust.

This has been the topic of discussion many times in our little LEO circle.  Soft targets such as schools and not being allowed to carry there.  There are many threads you can see in this forum with the same general topic but the same goes.. Usually it isn't the law abiding ones you need to worry about.  I liked the statement someone made in another thread about getting rid of most all of the gun laws and "gun free" zones

Thanks Haz. Thatwas always my point of confusion, as to whether a private school/college could choose to extend the paring lot exemption to the entire campus. This really is doubly aggravating because I while will say the state can set policy for state schools (whether I like it or not) to tell a private school they cannot ease the restriction if they so choose is absurd.

A state senator was escorted around to some urban schools in my state last year.  They passed on the Beslan School Massacre details to him, how it was set up and executed.  How anyone who had the strength to resist was taken out up front....how the emergency services were subverted prior to the incident...and on and on....

The senator was amazed at how easy it was to get into a "protected" school and learned that soft targets are really not protected.

Sheep see a 70 year old security guard at the entrance of a building or complex and think they are safe....what idiots.  If BHO and Pelosi along with her eunichs succeed in erasing our nation the sheep get what they deserve and I, for one, will never, if found in the position, lift a finger to help a sheeple.

Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom.
It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.

That was what we had at T/C, guys who were to feeble or senile ( One had to be let go because he could not remember how to get his truck to go the other direction ) to be trusted on machines. We called them the "social security force".
