"I have not backed off at all from my belief that the assault weapons ban makes sense," Obama said, adding that he is not "under any illusions that reinstating that ban would be easy."

Instead, the president said his administration is focused on enforcing laws that are already on the books, like targeting guns that are illegally smuggled over the border that are "helping to fuel extraordinary violence" as the drug trade soars.

"That's something we can stop," Obama said.

Verb = a word that describes action

Noun = a word that names a person, place, animal or item

Assault = verb

Weapon or Gun = noun

Adding an action to a name does not make the thing the action!

Guns do not have the ability to preform an action!

If you are going to hire people to write the hype the Citizens of the United States of America deserve the writers come as students of history and english rather than political science and "spin doctor" class!

Cost means little to the Democrats, they will cut the military budget, and raise taxes and fees, (plus just print up a lot of money), to try to buy this countries way to better end.
