Perry wants to run for senate, knows he'll have to replace Kay Bailey to do it and is trying to stir the far right.FQ13

Actually, Perry wants to get re-elected as governor.  He's facing some heat from the slightly left-leaning Kay Bailey.  Although I totally agree with the sentiment, Perry has probably already done too much damage with some of his other decisions that he may not likely win against her in the primary.  He's pro-gun, pro-life, pro-hunting, etc... Too bad he sided with the land grabbers on the trans-Texsas corridor debacle.  That cut deeply into his credibility.

Not only is he pro gun, pro life etc.. he has made a difference, George W got us ccw, Rick got us free carry in our vehicles, and went to bat twice, when anti gun mayors and DA's tried to twist the change. He has repeatedly said he has no plans to leave Texas for loftier goals and now it seem the only Governor, that has out right said no, but hell no to the established federal system.  We are putting up fences, what ever you think about them. Worst, in my lifetime, not by a long shot. John Connaly, Dolph Briskoe, Bill Clements, Preston Smith, Mark White, Who owned guns, but thought we should not,  Ann Richardson, ( good job intervening on the Branch Dividian massacre ) she could have altered the outcome, but like democrats do, let the status quo, go forth. Weak kneed bitch. RIP

Mexico take Texas if at all, in a week, not gonna happen, We got more than any other state, armed people, jets, helo's, bombs, space rockets, technology and above all, the will and the skill to use them.

Welcome to Texas. glad that you came down, just don't forget to go back home.

Amen.  You could list the things about Rick Perry you don't like, and then realize, why aren't we talking about any out of Texas governors?  Where they at, your presidents calling you all extremist and stomping on your freedoms, where your boy at?  Why have four or five thread been made for Texas in a week, you should show what your state's doing for you.  The only politician I've seen on the national news calling the federal government oppressive has been Governor Perry.  Get your guys on this.

that would actually fix CA.  we would lose the bay area and most of LA.

CA produces a large chunk of the nations food supply( something like 40% of the produce).  Not to mention we have the 2 largest ports on the west coast.   trust me, you would care every time you go to the grocery store.

No we wouldn't, because the food would be grown in the mid west and south instead, it would cost some what less in trucking and the farmers would not be getting hosed with supporting all those Mexicans on welfare in the bay area and LA.
As for the ports, I'm sure docks can be built in Reno or Bakersfield just as easily as Oakland., besides, think of the business opportunities in Sacramento.
