My daughter carries a P228, slighly smaller than the P226 but not much...it goes bang, every time!

She's pocket size...5'1"...if she can get used to it, anyone can...she's still got young eyes too, she outshoots me (most of the time)!

Definately prefer the 229 for carry. Wanted a 226 but wasn't avail. at the time. Wife and I both carry 229's. Hers in 9mm and mine in .40. Love the full size frame, but still fairly compact. I will admit that it did take me awhile to figure out the best way to carry though.

sigs are great guns, reliable, well built, top of the line, GREAT customer service, excellent aftermarket customizations, all in all a great gun. i fell in love the the p250 a few weeks ago, looking for one atm a compact version of it... very excellent gun's!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GLocks are great guns too, they follow the kiss principle very well... Keep It Simple and Safe.... cant get much better than glock perfection
springields are all right
and smith and Wesson is the name to live up to in American firearm manufactures.

Maybe try looking at a springfeild emp in 9mm or 40S&W. I perfer glocks because they are simple, rugged, eat up +p ammo no problem. Also mag capacity make me feel good.
