A friend of mine had a fire today. When I got home from work late tonight I had an email from him. His pole barn burnt down and he lost all his reloading equipment, primers, powder, cast bullets, brass bullets, brass, lead, molds, etc., everything. He figured he lost around a million cast bullets, let alone the the time invested, or the monetary loss. I don't know if any of you know Lloyd Smale on graybeard outdoors forums, but he is a real stand up guy. He loves to shoot, hunt, cast bullets, and reload. He is one of the most knowledgeable people I know when it comes to firearms, casting, and reloading in general and is what I would call an expert in more than a few diciplines. Lloyd is always quick to share his knowledge and answer questions. I know him mostly from the GBO forums, and an occasional phone call, but he lives way up in Michigan's Upper Penninsula near where I deer hunt. A couple years ago I had the privlidge of meeting with him and just before the start of deer season. We had some good conversation and he shared some of his firearms with me. Lloyd loves single actions and I had the chance to fondle some fine custom revolvers from some of the best gunsmiths there are. When it came time to leave, Lloyd was kind enough to give me hundreds of bullets he had cast and a delicious buffalo roast from a hunt he had been on. As much as he loves anything firearms, this is really tough on him. It doesn't sound like anyone was hurt thank God. If you can, please remember him in you prayers. Thank you.
