To hell with the AARP. They are a bunch of known lefties from way back...I remember wondering how in the hell people would belong to something like that from way back....I sure won't.
My wife "came of age," we were planning a trip, and we received an offer from AARP, all at the same time (within days). We both did some checking and found that we could save over $250 (after considering the cost of membership) on the vacation over all other offers and memberships we had already. We paid the $20 or $25 bucks, took the trip, and studied AARP. It took me very little time to say thanks but no thanks, and the only contact with them since was when I reached that magic age. They received a rather stern letter explaining our differences, and I have never received a mailing since ... I'm shocked, but I'm off their lists
