While I READ a lot of Sci Fi I've never been a big fan of the movies, although I did like Babylon 5.

Tom, we all know you don't know how to read.  You just use Microsoft Sam and speech to text to play on the forum. ;)

Thread drift:  What's your kind of Sci Fi, author and books, please?

Anything by Robert Heinlein, (except Puppet masters, I saw the beginning of the movie and it creeped me out  ;D  )
Douglas Adams "Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy" Any of the Harry Turtledove "alternate histories" (Guns of the South )
David Drake, Can't think of any more off hand but there are several in the Sci Fi war genre that are good, like David Weber's "Honor Harrington " series.
