BlendTec even goes to H&G shows and offers to "blend" anything. Cell Phones, Hocky Pucks.....you name it.
Wife and I broke down and got one this summer. I wouldn't abuse it like they do, but for making milkshakes and smoothies, absolute perfection.
One warning though. The User Interface could use a whole lot of simplification. Yes.....it's complicated to set up the first time. Once we got it in the "smoothie" mode though it's just: Drop in 2 peaches (pits optional), 12oz of milk, a large glass of ice cubes and press "5". I got mine through a mail order dealer with 2 containers and free shipping.
Is it worth it? We've gone through about 6 blenders in 40 years of marriage. Most didn't work all that well anyway. This will be the last blender we will buy.
