Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

Haz, what's the retail on those?  Is it 1200-1300 or do they get MSRP for them?

MSRP!  And notice it comes WITHOUT pedals!  By the time the smoke cleared with shipping and taxed it was $1875!

Now if you go for (and can find) last years you can get a real deal!

Well, considering the quality it's probably worth the money.  I have a friend that I worked with for ten years or so that drops 4-5K every other year because of the mileage he puts on a bike.  He probably rides close to 100 miles a day during the summer and half that when he can in the winter.

HazJr really likes to bike.  Rides to school every day.  On weekends he and his mom and her BF go thrashin' on the trails.  He is going CRAZY waiting on this to come in!  :D

Right now he's riding a regular street bike (skinny tires, what I called an English racer when I was a kid).  This new one has a light aluminum frame and a carbon composite front end.  He drives me nuts every day when he walks in from school "Did they call?"  ;D

It's nice you can do something for him....makes it that much more special!

I've been thinking of riding a bit myself.  My flexibility is shite right now and that is a low impact way to get back into shape.  Now that I live out in the middle of nowhere, I think I'm going to get serious in the spring..
