Looking for a rear pocket magazine holder
« on: January 05, 2010, 07:07:04 PM »
My search of the WWW has failed to find what I am looking for. This is a mag holder for the rear pocket that would hold the mag in a straight up position. I recall seeing one years ago...

Please advise if you know of one.

I checked the link, but was disappointed to see only a single mag holder, I would prefer a double for the LCP mags. Which leads me to this.

Don, have you considered making one from Kydex? You can buy the Kydex sheets and using your home oven heat it to form the appropriate holster.

I am working on a leather holster for my new Para, and water forming them is also fairly easy. Just some thoughts.

There's also Andy Langlois who lurks hereabouts occasionally . . .  ;D

I made a D in shop class.

Also, the ones at jsholsters are really for the front pocket (at least the single mag ones). I'm looking more for one that is designed for the rear pocket.

I don't have enough pockets for all the stuff I carry now!  The wallet has been left behind (at home!).  Those tactical pants with all the pockets don't fit right for me since I lost so much weight (still have a not so big belly but small legs - bird legs) and it looks really funny!  DeSantis has the Nemesis with an attached single mag pouch with the holster for the oversized pockets of the 5-11 type pants and they also have/had a single mag holder for the off side pocket.

FWIW

Richard

PS:  Don, I guess those new pants are working out for you?

Yes and no. I would love to combine the features of two of my cargo pants, then I'd me more satisfied. What I really want are jeans and cotton pants with large front pockets, discreet side pockets to hold a cell phone, a mag, car keys and a knife and double rear pockets. By discreet I mean no flaps, not obvious, just little slits (but enough room to get the finger/thumb in there).
