Top of the food chain for sure!

Letting one go isn't as easy as it sounds but I agree wholeheartedly.  Let nature run it's course if this animal doesn't survive in the wild after release.

Amen. I've seen them do this to seals, while salmon fishing off the coast of Vancouver island. Interesting to see the food chain in action. I've seen the herring ball up trying to keep the salmon from eating them and had seals grab the salmon I was reeling in and seen the whales eat the seals.

    Did anyone see the program a few weeks ago on Animal Planet where a Killer Whale had a Great White Shark for diner? Attack it, Beat it and Eat it! Wildest thing I ever seen!

Side note.. I don't think the whale should be "Put Down" for this.  Like miners working below ground. This is an everyday danger that could happen.  Not the whales fault for doing what it does.
