This does piss me off, just as advertised. The defendant may have given permission to search his home, but not mine. Even if I am his friend you better have a badge, a warant and a uniform if you kick my door in. As far as someone looking like "DAWG the Bounty Hunter" kicking my door in without a badge, well, he won't be there for that prayer service at the end of the show and I'll need a lawyer. Thing is though, I probably won't need a very good one as the Constitution, precedent and even Common Law are pretty clear about breaking into people's homes. Unless you have a warrant, are in hot pursuit or there are exigent circumstances, you just don't do it. Any badness that results is on you.
