Yes by all means spend more money on a futile effort. As Alf says, even if this thing passes, it will have three major hurdles to overcome.
1) An expanded, though not yet defined, view, of the 2A.
2) The idea that this regulates interstate commerce with a Court that has four members who are opposed to extending this power.
3) The 1A right to freedom of assmbly.
I'm not complacent by any means, just more skeptical of this thing's ability to hold water in court than I would have been 10 years ago. Anyway, I encourage antis to give all the money they save by boycotting Starbucks to the Brady Bunch (they'd just hurt themselves with it otherwise

). It will help, really, because I can't imagine a Democratic Congress critter from a red or purple state that desires anything more that a controversial vote on gun control during an election year.
