I order a dozen or so from the GPO on occasion and give them out from time to time.

I get these by the boat load. I give them to all my Intro to American Politics classes. I have short (5 questions) pop quizzes on the Constitution. Open book. The idea is to get them to carry and read the things. Supreme Court Justice Hugo Black, a complete Constitutional absolutist, was famous for carrying one in his back pocket. He would often pull it out in court and use a passage to quiz an attorney. To me, not owning a a copy of the Constitution is like not owning a Bible or a gun. Ain't going to happen.

When pressed, he flatly says he doesn’t know which part of the Constitution justifies the law, which is his way of saying he doesn’t care and hasn’t thought about it. In fact, the best he can do by way of legal authority is to cite life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness — which of course comes from the Declaration of Independence.

But he's a lawyer,.....right?
Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom.
It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.
