Delegate meetings after the primary election.
« on: February 03, 2008, 05:12:49 PM »
In some of the previous threads I have mentioned, attending the delegate meeting after your primary election for President.
This meeting will decide the delegates from your precinct who go on to perhaps cast your vote for the new presidential candidate  at your parties national convention. They will also decide the platform on which your party will stand, Pro life, Pro choice, 2nd amendment, assault weapons bans, clean water, better schools etc... You could also push for a brokered convention!

Say that amongst your precinct, there is no clear, substantial candidate, and the candidate should be chosen at the convention. I would imply, who that candidate should be. INSERT NAME HERE. As a gun owner you are in a small category, as a SHOOTER, your in a smaller category, but!!!, By attending these functions and letting your mind be heard, percentage wise, your in the high percentage bracket. Most people just want to be what we call down here, FAT, DUMB AND HAPPY. Uninvolved. Bitch about it over  tea or a beer. But won't get up and defend our position.

Most of us are similar in our mindset, we carry guns and own guns, because we do not like confrontation, and if confronted want to survive and get on with our lives and our interests, families etc... I bet most of us don't like our city councils, and local governments, but how many of us run for office?  That leaves the people pro or con to serve us as officials, who think they need to do the job ( like Fred Thompson ) or those who want to do the job ( like the rest ), our founding fathers who took office, wanted out as soon as possible, to get back to their homes, properties and their lives, as soon as possible.

Let's hear your thoughts.

Soap box is free for now.

After doing some research,, I have found some of you have more limited resources, during the candidate elections, than we have in Texas.. Bless you and make the right choice........ But please  attend the meeting, even if it's a week away.
