Question about Masada\ACR
« on: February 16, 2008, 09:19:21 AM »
I was watching the video on Youtube about the Masada\ACR. I know the ACR Is more advanced, but I figured people would better know what I was talkng about if i mentioned Masada as well. Anyway on the gastube the spokesperson was talking about haveing a 4 selection gas adjustment. From more gas to no gas. Why would this feature be useful? No gas would mean no cycle right? Or am I wrong? And to much gas would be a problem I would think too? Is this for elevation changes or what? I know having an adjustment on everything is great, but I would think this is one area you might not want to mess with. Thank you everyone on here. You all are awesome. I love to meet new people at the range everyweek.

An adjustable gas regulator allows the user to readily change the amount of gas
introduced into the operating system as required by the mission. Production versions
will have three distinct settings: “S” for Suppressors, “R” for normal operation,
and “H” for high-altitude, extreme cold, fouled weapon or other impaired
function conditions.

Doggone it, my Sig 556 only has two - gas and lots of gas.   :-\

I hope Gun City gets a couple in.  I have to figure out where I'm going to come up with the $1700

Ranger, try Bryles up in Turtle Lake, he's a good guy, a little farther to drive, but not quite as erratic as some of the folks at GC.
