I'm Back with another 10mm
« on: January 19, 2011, 05:55:13 PM »
Hey guys and ladies I'm back. I've been away from the forum and shooting for awhile but I'm back. I went to my favorite pawn shop on a whim during lunch last week. Something was drawing me there lol. I found a like new with the box and 3 mags S&W 1086. I'm not a huge fan of DAO but the trigger pull is short and feels pretty decent for DAO. The owner let me put it on layaway for $475 plus tax ;D. I couldn't say no. Especially since they only made 1660 of the 1086. Now my 1006 and Glock 20 have a new 10mm buddy to play with. Hope everybody is doing well. I'll post pics and a range report as soon as I can. I hope to be around the forum and the range a little more.

Well welcome back!

Sounds like a decent deal.  I wonder why S&W made such a brief run of the 1086?
You can say lots of bad things about pedophiles; but at least they drive slowly past schools.

Take care dj. Happy New Year, and congrats on the new addition.

That's quite a way to come back  ;D
Now you need a Delta Elite and an EAA Witness 10    ;D

I agree Tom the Delta has been on my list for years but I haven't ran across the right deal yet. I'm sure I'll probably end up with the EAA before it's all said and done I just can't seem to say no to a 10mm :)

I see on Colt's site that they have re-introduced the Delta Elite! I had a blued model 12 or 13 years ago that I sold for $400... where's that kicking yourself in the... posterior smiley????

I also sold a Gov't 380 for under $400 around the same time as well as a Series 70 that I let go for under $500.... Probably should be pistol whipped! A LOT!!!!

Congrats on the 10mm. I really wanted to want a G29 but I so dislike the finger grooves that I just can't do it. I know there are people that can/will remove them but I just can't justify dishing out the $$$ for the gun then dropping similar coin on the grip reconfigure... maybe someday.

Enjoy,
Sean
