Para GI Issues ?

 I decided to do my own informal research using a Para GI, Colt Series 80 and Systema 45. The Para GI worked with every mag I had available which were Colt factory, gun show cheapos and Para 8rd. The Colt would not drop free one of the Para mags probably because of too many firm seatings with the heel of my hand. The Systema refused to accept the Para but worked with every other mag I could try. In my opinion the Para is a bargain and if I didn't already own one it would be the next gun I bought.

I have a Para GI Expert and I love it. It works so well it is my CCW AND my Duty gun!

The finish on the black guns will wear off. No biggy but some folks on the intardweb are going crazy about it. I plan on duracoating mine sometime soonish, but it's not a big deal to me.

Mine feeds every chunk of ammo I can toss at it (Issue ammo is Ranger 230 Gr).

Great gun, buy it....

Personally, I would only consider the Stainless, but that is because I carry IWB which in the summer raises issues of rust.

I have been looking at 1911's myself and have my eyes on a Para Ordnance S14-45 Limited. Really like them and STI 1911's.
