Texas Am I nuts!
« on: March 02, 2008, 07:59:51 PM »
Well that's what a lot of people I know are saying to me but I've been thinking about this for quite sometime now and its looking better and better all the time of course I know that I probably won't be able to do the wilderness camping like I do in Michigan but you got to have some trade offs. So here's my question to you Texans, Where are the shooting ranges? I plan on living around Dallas as hats where my son lives and I'll be working around there . Actually its Lewisville but Dalles is close if any forum members can help me out with this dilemma I would appreciate it .

I live just a few miles west of Lewisville and have been to several ranges in the area.  These are the closest that I know of:

http://www.elmfork.com/
http://www.dallasgunclub.com/
http://www.alpinerange.com/

Welcome to Texas!

Go to ar15.com, then to hometown forum. then to Texas, then to local ranges. We have a quite a bit to offer. Texgun gave a few, but there are a lot more.

Come on down and enjoy, hope to see you at the range.

You can camp in desert wilderness as well, just need new skills and more water. I'm sure the backpacking community will be as helpful as the gun community.
