Very Cool.  Are they 19s?  Give us a little history on them.

It looks like the bottom two are made in the 70s (or earlier) cause the barrels are pinned.  The trigger stop appears missing in the middle one though.   Are the bottom two recessed?  More details



(Must admit though, I'm not a fan of those yellow grips.  I have a reoccurring nightmare where I'm called to the witness stand and the DA pulls out a pink (or yellow)  gun and asked if this was the weapon I used?  Everybody in the courtroom is snickering and I turn beat red with embarrassment.)

Model 19-3 with pinned barrel and recessed cylinder.

Model 28-2 with pinned barrel and recessed cylinder. This was a Texas Dept. of Public Safety issued pistol and the grips were toast. I replaced them with "aged" fake Ivory grips, but the damn things always look yellow when I take photos using a flash.

Model 29-3 I didn't realize it at the time (it was my first big bore revolver), but this was the first model 29 that didn't have the pinned barrels and recessed cylinders. I still love my "Dirty Harry" revolver though.

I'm partly color blind but those yellow grips are like a neon light. Wow. I was going to ask if it was ivory. I thought it was just the way the picture came out, and I'm glad I was right.

Ah, that may explain the missing trigger stop.  Some people (probably mainly law enforcement departments) removed the trigger stop so that it couldn't accidentally work loose and stop the gun from firing.

Fine looking trio. I thought you had actually put yellow grips on and then I saw what you wrote. Yellow grips look really cool and seen them on I believe to be a Smith and Wesson .500. I have seen red and yellow grips on them.
