The post office just delivered an exquisitely executed methodology for keeping trousers and carry piece secure.

In other words, my Amish belt just arrived.

Adding to one's original size is certainly a good idea.  It is normal to buy a belt 2" larger than you would buy your trousers, but I wear a 36" trouser which has always meant a 38" belt.  This time I went to a 40" on the belt and the fit is just right.  I can go up or down a bit in waist size, and this belt should continue to fit well.

As to the belt itself...   It's one heavy-duty piece of work.  Even the buckle is very well produced.  I prefer a "Western" style buckle, but the exchange should be pretty simple as the Amish have installed screws instead of snaps or rivets to secure their choice in buckles.

For the price, it's every bit as heavy-duty as belts I have purchased at much higher prices.  Except that I may also want one in brown, I think this may turn out to be the last  belt I'll have to buy.

This Rabbit gives a definite "paws up" on first blush on the belt.  Things could change if I find it dissolves in perspiration (I do live in Florida, ya' know) but it looks like some very strong bull hide.  I think this will turn out to be a very good purchase, indeed.

Thanks, WayniacKT .

I found a guy that makes HQ belts like that at a local gun show.  Bought 1 in black and 1 in brown.  I shoot competition with a Para P14 and 4 mags loaded to 17 rounds on my belt and they have held up well!  He even made one to my specs no extra charge.  $30 each which is a good deal.
