Leningrad Cowboys- strange music that reminds me of Michael Bane
« on: September 03, 2011, 07:19:17 AM »
Just found these guys and I find it really sad that the first thing I think is that they would be something that he would put on a podcast.  Michael has introduced me to a lot of good music over there years as my iTunes bill can attest, and the off the wall stuff is usually my favorite.  This is OFF THE WALL.

Apparently they are a Finnish band that does a lot of covers of American music with Russian military orchestras and choirs:

The problem is that putting this on a podcast wouldn't do them justice to how crazy they look.

Very interesting interpretation of the classics. I am sure this is right up MB's alley.

I was born and raised in Alabama.. up till bout 14 years ago when I moved to Louisiana.  After watching that vid I feel emotionaly sick.
Give me liberty or I'll get my guns and get it myself.
